UPDATE ON THE 40th ANNUAL GPA CONFERENCE AT THE KING & PRINCE

Good News! Both St. Simons Island and the King & Prince survived Hurricane Irma with minimal damage! Parts of both got a “bath” from the storm surge, but the water receded within hours and clean up started immediately.

The Conference Planning Committee has been in touch with the King & Prince, St. Simons Island and Glynn County EMA. Based on feedback from numerous sources about conditions on St. Simons, the 40th Anniversary Annual Conference will be held as planned!

You can expect “royal” treatment from the King & Prince, which is eager and delighted to welcome all GPA Annual Conference registrants, speakers, vendors and guests! We will have full-service at the hotel. Many restaurants are already open and shops are expected to open by Monday. Repair of some structural damage to the pier and walkway around the downtown park continues, but that will have zero to minimal effect on Conference attendees.

Looking forward to having a hurricane at the ECHO Bar with all Annual Conference attendees!
